Pinky Perfect Ice Cream Project

This last week I was excited to be invited to contribute a craft item to a co-op busy bag project for preschoolers. I decided to make an ice cream sequencing activity. This project was super easy and is such a great way to teach your Princess to both follow and create patterns.

Lastly, we thought we would share this cute idea we saw for a craft project on dearlizzy. Here where the Queen Mommies live it is 100+ in the shade and so finding things to do to entertain the children is a must. I have all of my materials for this adorable Princess wand and can't wait to do this with my girls today. Happy Friday!!

To make the hearts you need: ·yarn · cookie cutters · 1/4 c. cornstarch or you could use watered down glue ·wax paper

How to make the hearts: Heat up 1/4 c cornstarch with 1/2 c water over medium heat until it is translucent. Wait until it cools before starting.(Can also use watered down glue)

Cut yarn into 12 inch pieces and have the kids dip into glue and then place into cookie cutter heart or any other shape. May take a while to dry so the process can be sped up by setting them in the oven on parchment paper. Set to warm for about an hour.

How-to make the magic wands: Use a lollipop stick or other stick and decorate with whatever you have on hand such as tulle, ribbon, jewels, sequins and pearl strings. *dearlizzy suggests the following: If your daughter is old enough she could help with this part, but she used a hot glue gun and threw it together in a couple minutes.

Teaching A Princess Her Shapes

School is out and I am trying to make sure we continue learning even during the summer months with fun crafts and projects. Here is a super simple project I did with my preschool princess to reinforce shapes.

Make Your Own Shape Princess

I used foam paper and cut out some super easy shapes to start with. As I cut I had my preschooler tell me all of the shapes she knew and then retrieve them to put the princess together.

Then for some added fun have your Princess glitter up her creation!

Oh and my little princess added a face to hers. There is no stifling of creativity in this house :)
