Must Have Princess Bags

This week my children are home from school for a little fall break time. I love having my children home with me, but bored children make for an unhappy Queen Mommy. So what's a Mommy to do? Well this one went ahead and scoured Pinterest for all the kid friendly and inexpensive crafts and activities I could find. I found this project yesterday via a Girl And A Glue Gun and think it is absolutely adorable and wanted to share it with all of you. No sewing cuteness, glue guns, tulle and sparkle- I seriously love this project!

It's Not Easy Raising A Princess

Many of you have noticed as you read Rebekah Grace The Practically Perfect Princess that quite a bit of this first story focuses on Rebekah's family. Queen Mommy Nicki and I are part of a big family and as sisters knew we wanted our children to have close relationships within the family as well.

In our experience with raising Princesses sometimes our little Princesses had big ideas for how things should happen that didn't necessarily work well for all of the members of the family. We discovered quickly that in order to keep the peace a little re-direction was needed, quite often.

BIG Review

And the good news keeps rolling in. Girliemom just posted their review of the Practically Perfect Princess and it's a great one!

"If you have a little princess in your house, this book is not to be overlooked.  The authors do a wonderful job to demonstrate thru their words that even the practically perfect princess is not perfect. We recommend this book for children 1 to 5 yrs+. "

This is huge and we are so grateful to the amazingly talented ladies over at Girliemom for giving The Practically Perfect Princess an opportunity to shine!

Now onto some other Princess news, Princess Baby Anneliese has gained 3 lbs and is now in the whopping big 30th percentile for her age. Woot!!

And on top of all of that my oldest Princess won an award at our County Fair this weekend with her 4H Bunny Lance- A-Lop. Double woot!!!

Special thanks to our friend over at She Became A Butterfly for nominating us for a Liebster award. We love awards! Here is the link to our answers.

Have a great week everyone.

Who Is the Queen Mommy?

Funny little story. Last Thursday we welcomed a new little Princess into our family, baby Anneliese. As I was in the recovery room right after the delivery one of the nurses working the floor came in checked on me and said she had wanted to stop by and say hi when she saw my name because she knew I was one of the Queen Mommy authors for Rebekah Grace the Practically Perfect Princess. She told me she loved the book and so did her Princesses. Too cute and made me so happy!

Now without further ado, here is a quick pic of little Princess Anneliese. Queen Mommy Nicki and I will have great fun watching her grow and gathering fodder from her for future Princess stories!

Two Weeks and Counting!

Hi everybody,

Sorry to have been MIA recently, but blogging has fallen to the wayside as baby arrival preparations have picked up speed. Besides feet that feel like bricks, a back that may or may not make it through tomorrow, and three other children to wrangle all is going well. Did I mention, only 2 more weeks???? Hurray!!!

Just wanted to update you on a few things. Queen Mommy Nicki and I plan to host several Princess events this spring as well as some fun giveaways and a little internet fun. So stay tuned.

Also, we would love to know if there is a bookstore near you that you think would like to have copies of The Practically Perfect Princess. We have had a very fun year with this debut book and have been tickled pink by the response we have received, but would love to expand the book further and know our Queen Mommy and King Daddy friends have some ideas. Thanks for the love!

New Practically Perfect Princess Review and Giveaway!

Read the newest review of the Practically Perfect Princess from Michelle at Mama's Baby Cupcakes and then make sure to head on over to her site for a chance to win a Practically Perfect Princess tee shirt!

This is a great book for little girls because it talks about manners, helping out, and listening to your parents.

Madison loves this book so much. We've read it almost every day since we first got it in the mail a month ago. She's to the point now where she can "read" the book herself because she has it memorized.

It's not a really long book which is also nice because kids don't have a long attention span, but just long enough to get the point of the book across and keep your child entertained.

I also really like the illustrations. Rebekah Grace is quite the cutie pie, and she pops out of each page as the main feature so she's easy to spot.
Madison is already asking me when their next book will come out because the last page.

Madison went to preschool last year and is doing an advanced kind of pre-k this year so she loves anything about schools so the thought of a book about Rebekah Grace going to school makes her giggle

You can also get this cute shirt to go with the book! This shirt just makes the book that much better! When Madison opened the package and this shirt fell out, she was thrilled! She immediately wanted to try it on and prance around in it.

The only thing is that Madison tugs on this little piece of tulle that is sewn on to the shirt. I love this little effect because it adds that extra flair to the shirt and it washes great as well.

Overall, I highly recommend this book and shirt for the little princess in your life!

Rebekah Grace Gets Reviewed at Naptime Review

We are VERY excited by the review of The Practically Perfect Princess from Julie at Naptime Review!

Julie started her blog just a few short months ago and has skyrocketed to success and gathered a very large following. We feel honored that Rebekah Grace is now listed among her reviewed items.

Here is an excerpt from her review, you can read the complete review here.

"When my daughter and I read this story together we had a lot of real life connections that we could discuss. She was especially shocked to learn that Princesses take naps! Rebekah Grace can relate to any preschooler who wants to be a princess in this everyday world. I recommend this book to anyone who has a princess in the house. It shows them it is OK not to be perfect."

You all know that we love seeing pictures of Princesses and we just had to share this picture of one of Queen Mommy Julie's  Princesses. Too cute!

Rebekah Grace Gets Reviewed At Home Maid Simple

We are so pleased to read the review of Rebekah Grace at  Home Maid Simple and we are especially excited when we hear that other little Princesses enjoy the book!

About the Book:  Rebekah Grace is a charming 3 year old trying to learn the Princess Rules. There are a lot of Princess rules though, and sometimes it's hard to remember them. I love what the authors have to say about their book "Why is she only practically perfect? ALL little girls are Princesses, no matter who they are, but that doesn't mean they have to be perfect.  Sometimes, even Princesses make mistakes."

About the Authors: Sisters Jennifer and Nicki are former princesses turned Queen Mommies raising princesses of their own. Jen began the book without hope of it ever being published, when Nicki jumped aboard and decided together they would make this book available for all practically perfect princesses and their Queen Mommies. Jennifer is Queen Mommy to 2 Princesses and a Prince, while Nicki is Queen Mommy to 2 Princes and a Princess.

My thoughts: I just love this book. The cute drawings pull you in to the fun life of Rebekah Grace. The story line is simple and perfect for my little Princesses, but the pictures add so much more to the story that is not written. I could easily relate to many of the situations Rebekah Grace found herself in as she tried to learn the Princess Rules.

What did the Princesses think? They loved it. They thought Rebekah Grace was cute, and enjoyed laughing over her little antics.

This book is perfect for newborns and up!

The Practically Perfect Princess belongs in every little girls' (princess') home library."

Nicki and I are so very happy that this book is being enjoyed by other princesses and we loved the pics that the "7 Kids" folks shared.

Real Momma Reviews Rebekah Grace

We are super excited by the review that Rebekah Grace The Practically Perfect Princess received by another Princess and her Queen Mommy.

Here's what Princess Cheyenne had to say for the book from Real Momma's Review:

"When Cheyenne and I read it before bed time and talked about what we liked in the book and the lessons learned her review was straight to the point:
Even when you are a Princess you still need to follow the rules, be kind to others, and respect your parents.  And the book tells us all the important princess rules that I already know and I can’t believe there are other girls like me out there that love pink and are sometimes too busy to sleep."

Thank you Real Momma we are so pleased that you and your Princess enjoyed the book! You can read the full review here.
